RHS swept STM 7-0 yesterday. Lily Kerachsky played great and had a incredible win against a opponent that beat her previously. Mia Zheng played nearly flawlessly to win her first singles match. RHS continues to dominate on the tennis courts.
The MS Girls had a great game against St. Philomena on Thursday. All our players got to play, including our fifth graders. Our defense was aggressive against a competitive team, which served as a good match up. Our goalies had a combined 5 saves and the game ended with RHS scoring 8 goals.
Mariners Show Strength & Pride in Dominant Non-League Contest

Davis Lee & Nick McConnell – 4 Goals
Kirk Webster – Shutout
Nick McConnell and Davis Lee each finished with four goals to help the host Mariners beat the Marianapolis Knights, 12-0. Nick was also 8 for 9 on face offs. The defense of Max Lehouiller, Jake Watson, Daxton Tassone, Bennett Fine, and goalie Kirk Webster was outstanding on the day, doing a great job of disrupting the rhythm of the visiting Knights. The Mariners hit the road next Wednesday to play rival St. Andrew’s.
All Doubles Teams Victorious; Number 2 & 3 Doubles = Flawless
RHS beat Williams 5-2. Highlights of the matches were both Elsa and Derek Block played great winning easily. As well as sweeping all 3 doubles matches. Marshal Lind and Hadley Ramirez remain undefeated. The Number 2 (marshal and Hadley)and 3 (John Bergstrom and Mossimo Dicenso) doubles teams didn’t lose a game yesterday.
The Mariners maintained their winning streak with a hard fought 11 to 6 victory against a tough North Smithfield team. Jordan Lanowy played outstanding defense with several huge interceptions. Eve Weiner gave a strong performance in her debut at midfield. Kaeley Zito had 2 assists and 6 goals. Aviva Beringhause had a magnificent game in net with 9 saves. And, Tamira Lopes might just be the fastest woman on the East Coast. Let’s go Rocky Hill!
MS Boys Lacrosse Plays Strong Against Tough Opponent
RHS 6, St. Philomena 10
The MS Boys Lacrosse team suffered a hard fought 10-6 loss to St. Phil’s. Andrew Corsi led the attack with 4 goals and Bodan Diar scored 2. Colin Zito had a strong debut on Defense. Dalton continued his string of strong performances in goal.
The host Mariners rode a big second quarter on the way to a big 15-6 win over the visiting Saints of St. Andrew’s School. Davis Lee scored a season high 9 goals and added 3 assists in the win, and Peter Chen scored his first goal of the season as well. Rocky Hill has another home game against Marianapolis on Friday.
The MS Girls’ LAX team had a game against Pine Point on Tuesday. This game served as a positive reality check for our girls, as the beginning of the game as very back and forth. In the second half, the girls were able to get back into a good flow, maintaining a lead through the rest of the game. Our goalies had a combined total of 9 saves and the midfielders controlled 12 of the 16 draws.

After a tight first half with some very solid, disciplined defense, Rocky Hill ended the first half ahead, 9-4. However, all Mariners stepped up tremendously to play a heroic second half! Rachel Arabian and Jaylene Lanzot had assists and goals were scored by Chloe Ponte, Lizzie Hayes, Ptolemy Tassone, Kaeley Zito, and Charlotte Boss (indeed, the invincible Miss Boss put 9 past the Burrillville goal tender).
