- RHS 102, Springfield Commonwealth 75
The Mariners had mixed results in the 14th Annual Mariner Classic, dropping their first game to visiting Broome Street Academy (NY) and setting off an offensive explosion against Springfield Commonwealth. Though Rocky Hill struggled to get into a groove in their first game versus Broome Street, they still hustled and played a physical game.
Senior Tedrick Wilcox took All-Tournament honors for Rocky Hill School with a whopping 68 points on the weekend. Seniors Mo Danmola and Steven Lora shined against SCA and Sophomore BJ Jenkins stepped up as the Mariners’ primary ball-handler.
“We are going into winter break feeling pretty good,” said Coach Mahmoud. “We’ve played some tough teams that have exposed some weaknesses that we needed to correct before we get into our major NEPSAC games.”
