  • 6th Grade Field Trip to Tillinghast Pond, West Greenwich, Monday, May 21
  • Rocky Hill School Annual Corporation Meeting, Tuesday, May 22, 5:00 p.m.  Flynn Lecture Hall
  • 8th Grade Field Trip, Walking Tour of Providence, State House, the Old State House, the Roger Williams National Memorial, and Prospect Park, Wednesday, May 23
  • Memorial Day, No School, Monday, May 28
  • All School Lost and Found on display, Tuesday – Thursday, May 29 – 31, outside of the Campbell Center.
  • 5th Grade Stepping Up Day in the Middle School, Wednesday, May 30, 8:10 – 10:45am. Students will visit academic classes and join the MS at morning break.
  • Annual Spanish Luncheon Field Trip, All 5th grade, 6th and 7th grade Spanish students, Thursday, May 31, 11:00am – 1:00pm.  Other 6th and 7th graders will have an on-campus, Latin/French picnic.

A Look Ahead 5/11  – News from the Center of Innovation  

All School:

  • Block Island Wind Trip Wednesday 5/16

    • Deep Water Wind expert will facilitate a hands-on experience to explore renewables, wind energy, and the policy and regulations which enabled the project to happen.
    • Students in 4th, 5th, 7th and upper school environmental biology students.

Upper School:

  • Director of New England Donor Services & Rhode Island Hospital to collaborate over lunch with Pam Matson’s Upper School BioEthics and Human Physiology classes.
    • Students will explore ethical issues with Heather Herlin and present a video created by students to advocate for organ donation awareness. This video will run in drivers education programs around the state!
  • Founder, Clemens Grave of Finnest to visit Independent Study Class, Wednesday, May 16
  • Student Hackathon Committee members to attend the 24 hour MetroHack at the Harvard SOCH May 19th and 20th.
    • Co-Founder, Cortlandt Meyerson and several other upper school students will Hack critical challenges at the 24 hour Hack designed for teens, by teens and college aged, student-led non-profit, MetroHacks.
