Extra Clothes Request
Please be sure your child has an extra set of seasonal clothing at school (including socks and underwear) if needing to change out of wet clothes. Also, given the cold temperatures, snow covered or soggy playground, wet equipment, and the fabulous puddles around campus, PLEASE be sure your child has proper outerwear on hand each day, including a hat, scarf, gloves/mittens, snow pants and boots.

Gain insight into your child’s social-emotional and academic experiences.

The following article from the PBS News Hour reinforces the importance of having literature available to children that exposes them to realities different than their own; to celebrate differences and diversity; and to promote tolerance and acceptance from an early age. Special thanks to Laura Vares for passing the article along!
6 Books to Read with your Kids that Celebrate Differences and Diversity

Mindful Moment…
Mindfulness has found a positive, peaceful, and valuable niche within our Lower School community.

Children and adults want to feel safe within their environment, as well as have a connection and sense of belonging in their immediate surroundings and beyond.
