The Last Next Week’s News! 6/1/2018

Hi everyone,

And so we come to our last Next Week’s News for the year, and for me at RHS. I have loved my time here and all of you so much. I will miss you. You are my family here. Now before I cry all over you, let me share some things coming up!
Monday and Tuesday we will wrap things up in our classroom. We will finish what we can and spend time enjoying each other’s company. Please send in a shopping bag for us to send your child’s work home.
On Wednesday, we will have the LS Community Share. Has your child signed up with Ms. Emily to perform? It is always a really fun show! In the afternoon we will celebrate our summer birthdays and have invited Mrs. Marcus and the Kindergarten over for an Ice Cream Social! Please join us!
Summer work packets will go home in your child’s bag next week.
Thursday is Moving Up Day for 5th and 8th grade. Will your child be attending? It is a dress up day and the ceremony is about 2 hours long. Our school year ends immediately following the ceremony. There will be no lunch and no Extended Day on Thursday.
Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) begins on Monday, June 18th. Is your child signed up for this amazing summer experience? Contact Mr. Mike for more details: mlawson@rockyhill.org
We are sending home a surprise for Daddy for Father’s Day. Please help your child try to keep it a surprise – it’s SO hard!
Don’t forget to check the blog. Miss Amanda and I will post the rest of this year’s photos over the course of the next week.  http://blogs.rockyhill.org/bythebaypreschool/
Thank you for everything. Thank you for opening your homes and your hearts to me. Thank you for trusting me enough to share your beautiful children with me. I will let you all know where I will be in Phoenix and I hope you will not lose touch. I wish you every joy this summer and always.
with a full heart-

Also on June 6th, our end of year celebration will take place. Watch for more information!

Thursday, June 7th is Moving Up Day. This is a dress-up morning celebration for Fifth and Eight graders. We are, once again, having an issue with kindness. Please back me up in promoting taking a deep breath and always choosing the kindest option.
Ready to boogie? Our Lower School Spring Fling dance is coming up! Mark your calendars for Friday, April 27th! It promises to be a fun night!

Next Week’s News!

Hi everybody!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend despite the awful weather. There are a few things to share in this last week before Spring Break.

Welcome to World Cultures Week! This week we will be learning all about The Philippines! Have anything to share? We’d love to have you!
Quilt squares have begun to arrive. Like all the other family projects, please brainstorm and make these together. You may use whatever you wish: fabric markers or paint, felt, ribbon, buttons, iron-on patches, fabric scraps. Be creative. I just ask that whatever you use is washable. When all the squares are returned, I will put them together into our 2017-2018 classroom quilt.
We will be closed for Spring Break March 12-26. We will return to school on Tuesday, March 27th. Are you traveling? Send us a postcard!
Please take all of your winter gear home by Friday. We are planning on NOT needing them when we return!
Don’t forget to check the blog: http://blogs.rockyhill.org/bythebaypreschool/
You’ll find pictures, newsletters and calendars there!
Have a great night and we’ll see you in the morning!
