Happy Friday and Happy Memorial Day!
First and foremost, I would like to thank you all for coming to Garden Night, planting, providing a yummy meal, and for the incredibly moving send-off. I love you all so much. You are my family and I meant what I said…my door is always open!
As we wind down the last two weeks of school, we will finish up our study of the ocean and begin our good-byes. The books we will be reading next week will include:

There will be no school at RHS on Monday, May 27th in honor of Memorial Day.
Tuesday is Field Day! This fun filled morning is brought to us by Mrs. Wood and the amazing Fifth Grade Class!!! Your child will need to wear shorts,a t-shirt and sneakers. We ask that everyone bring a hat and make sure you have water bottles. We have your child’s sunscreen here already. If you would like to join us for Field Day, you are very welcome!
Because of the weather predicted for Tuesday, we are looking for a pop-up sun canopy. Does anyone have one we can borrow?
Our Virtuoso Schedule next week:
Tuesday: Field Day
Wednesday: Music with Ms. Emily
Thursday: P.E. with Mrs. Wood
Friday: Library with Mrs. Silva
Do you have an overdue book notice in your child’s cubbie? Please get the book(s) in ASAP to avoid a library book replacement charge.
What’s coming next? I’m so glad you asked!
On Thursday, May 31st, our PreK will have their final visit to Kindergarten. Afterwards, we will have fun end of the year celebration.
Tuesday through Thursday, May 29th-31st All-School Lost and Found Display. Did your child lose something? Come find it!
Does your child have a particular talent? Do they sing? Dance? Tell great jokes? Have them sign up with Ms. Emily for the Lower School Community Talent Share on June 6th!
Also on June 6th, our end of year celebration will take place. Watch for more information!
Thursday, June 7th is Moving Up Day. This is a dress-up morning celebration for Fifth and Eight graders. All students are welcome to attend, however, please understand that it is a long (2 hour) ceremony in which students will be expected to sit. School officially ends for the year following Moving Up Day (around 10:45 a.m.) There is no extended day provided on this day. Please let me know if your child will or will not be attending Moving Up Day.
As always, don’t forget to check out our blog. And have a wonderful long weekend!
