Happy New Year and Next Week’s News!

Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful vacation!

We will kick off 2016 with a study of snow and polar habitats. The books we will be reading will include:

“The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats
“There Was A Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow” by Lucille Colandro and Jared Lee
“Snowmen at Night” by Caralyn and Mark Buehner
“Stranger in the Woods” by Carl R. Sams and Jean Stoick

Our virtuoso schedule for the coming week is
Tuesday: Spanish, Art
Wednesday: Music

Friday: Music

We will not have science this week. Mr. Wyzga will be in Asheville, NC. He placed first in the Rhode Island State Championships in cyclecross and now heads down south to represent his team and the state of Rhode Island at the USA National Championships. Go Eric!

Thank you to all who donated to the Potter League. Sadie and I delivered all of your generous contributions on Friday, December 18th. While we were there, she just had to visit with the animals. Meet Bear, the newest member of our family who arrived Christmas eve.

Your child needs a coat, snow pants, boots, hat and mittens every day. Also, it is imperative that you check your child’s bag for seasonally appropriate clothing.
We love the pictures of your children in their jammies! Keep ’em coming!
